Control Valves V-Port Ball Valves vs. Globe Style Valves

Which Should you Choose?
V-Port Ball and Globe Control Valves

Selecting the Proper Control Valve Type

Choosing between a V-port ball valve and a Globe Style control valve is an important decision that could have a drastic impact on the cost and success of an application. There are a few questions to ask when making this decision. We have written an article that reviews these questions.

Certain answers to some questions will make the decision cut and dry. Other questions may simply tip the scales in favor of one or the other slightly. Many cases will reveal that either type valve will work about as well. In those cases, most people will make their decision based on cost. In order to quickly compare costs of complete valve assemblies of both types, use our valve configurators.
