About Thermal Shutoff Valves
Assured Automation supplies a complete range of Thermal Safety Shutoff Valves with fusible links. Our stock inventory includes Thermally activated Emergency Isolation Valves, and FM approved FireChek® thermal exhaust valve.
For some applications and in specific industries some of these valves are referred to as EBV (Emergency Block Valves) (API RP 553 Classes A, B,& C), EIV (Emergency Isolation Valves ) (API RP 533 Class D), SDV (Shut Down Valve) or ESV, ESD or ESDV (Emergency Shutdown Valve), Emergency Shutoff valves (ESOV) (NFPA 54), automatic-closing heat-actuated valves (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106), Firesafe Valves (Factory Mutual FM Class 7440) and Safety Shutoff Valves (FM Class 7400). They are also sometimes referred to as ESDV (Emergency Shutdown Valves) or ROSoV (Remotely Operated Shutoff Valves).

TSV |
Stand-alone Thermal Shut-off Valve assemblies that combine a fire-safe ball or butterfly valve with a spring return actuator and a Firechek heat-activated pneumatic shut-off and vent valve to close the actuator. Superior to fusible link assemblies, they can be tested and reset without replacing any hardware. |
ESOV |
Emergency Shut-off Valves. Spring assisted swing check valve with fusible link. Remote Trigger options include electro-magnet and air cylinder. |
FireChek®
|
Heat activated pneumatic shut-off valve used to close the supply air line and vent a spring return actuator to allow return to failsafe position. Adds thermal shutoff to any spring return pneumatically actuated valve without affecting normal operation. |
FM Fire-Safe |
Valve assembly with a spring loaded actuator held in operational position by a fusible link. Link releases at trigger temperature and spring actuates valve to emergency position. entire assembly is dedicated to this thermal shutoff function. |
ESD |
Emergency Shutdown Valves. Complete spring-return, pneumatically actuated process control valve assemblies that incorporate the FireChek® listed above to provide Emergency Shutdown. |

Emergency Shut-off Valves (Swing Check Valves with Fusible Link)
