They were looking for&nbsp;a large diameter valve with a fast acting actuator to provide the air capacity they needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/index.php\"> Assured Automation<\/a> was contacted to help find a solution to their\u00a0Pumpkin Chunkin valve assembly\u00a0requirements. The sales engineer suggested an\u00a0<a href=\"\/ST\/index.php\">ST Series Butterfly Valve<\/a> with an <a href=\"\/F_pneumatic_actuators\/index.php\">F Series pneumatic actuator<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/news-and-training\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Pumpkin-Chunkin-4-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/news-and-training\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Pumpkin-Chunkin-4-214x300.jpg 214w, https:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/news-and-training\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Pumpkin-Chunkin-4.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 214px) 100vw, 214px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The ST Series butterfly valve allows&nbsp;the air stored in the reservoirs to exhaust quickly. This valve features a stainless steel disc and stem and is able to withstand higher pressures and continuous actuation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The F Series rack and pinion actuator provides fast quarter turn operation to cycle the valve quickly. The light weight aluminum body helps reduce the load on their system and the corrosion resistant polyurethane coating keeps the unit looking brand new even in harsh environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students tested the Assured Automation assembly and it performed perfectly for their quick exhaust design.
