{"id":429,"date":"2012-02-29T16:08:43","date_gmt":"2012-02-29T21:08:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/news-and-training\/?p=429"},"modified":"2024-08-08T12:34:27","modified_gmt":"2024-08-08T16:34:27","slug":"custom-automated-ball-valve-for-refinery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/news-and-training\/custom-automated-ball-valve-for-refinery\/","title":{"rendered":"Custom Automated Ball Valve for Refinery"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Firesafe Automated Ball Valve-150F\/300F Series<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><br><figure><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Custom Full Port Ball Valve with Limit Switch\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/data\/1255453482\/thumbs\/custom.jpg\" alt=\"Custom Full Port Ball Valve with Limit Switch\"><\/figure><div style=\"float: right; margin-right: 10px; margin-left: 0; margin-bottom: 5px;\"><\/div><br><p><strong>Problem:<\/strong><\/p><br><p>A refinery wanted to reduce costs during a recent project that proposed upgrading manual valves to automated ball valves.<\/p><br><p>The specifications required an API 607 firesafe automated ball valve, <a title=\"Assured Automation Spring Return Pneumatic Actuators\" href=\"\/valve-actuators\/index.php#pneumatic-actuators\">spring return pneumatic actuator<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/limit-switches\/\">explosion proof limit switch<\/a> and explosion proof solenoid.<\/p><br><p><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/p><br><p>Assured Automation proposed using the API 607 fire-safe approved <a href=\"\/150F-300F\/index.php\">150F\/300F Series Flanged Ball Valves<\/a> assembled with a <a href=\"https:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/limit-switches\/index.php?p=buy#YH\">YH Limit Switch<\/a> package.<\/p><br><p>The YH limit switch offers extra terminals for terminating the solenoid inside the enclosure. The YH enclosure is FM approved explosion proof for C1, Div 1 &amp; 2 areas.
