Next remove spring end caps.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1322\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1322\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"\/F-pneumatic-actuators\/index.php?p=buy\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1322\" src=\"\/news-and-training\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/e_pneumatic_actuators-150x150.png\" alt=\"E Series Pneumatic  valve actuators\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1322\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">E Series pneumatic valve actuators<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To remove the internal pistons, place a wrench on the actuator stem and rotate counterclockwise until the pistons can be pulled out.&nbsp; It is very important to note the orientation of the pistons as they come out of the actuators, since you will rotate them 180\u00b0.<\/p>\n<p>Rotate the pistons 180 degrees, push them into the actuator to engage with the pinion. Rotate the shaft counterclockwise until the pistons are pulled fully into the actuator housing.&nbsp; Note the slot on the shaft should now be parallel to the actuator housing.<\/p>\n<p>Reattach and tighten the spring end caps. Attach indicator cap.<br \/>\nThe actuator should rotate clockwise when air is applied.
