{"id":2491,"date":"2013-04-25T14:20:10","date_gmt":"2013-04-25T18:20:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/news-and-training\/?p=2491"},"modified":"2023-02-14T09:50:20","modified_gmt":"2023-02-14T14:50:20","slug":"k-series-120v-electric-actuator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assuredautomation.com\/news-and-training\/k-series-120v-electric-actuator\/","title":{"rendered":"K Series 120V Electric Actuator-Wiring Instructions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Assured Automation<\/strong>: your source for Manual and Automated Valves &amp; Flow Meters.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6wN_AfLxoig\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is the wiring instructions for the <a href=\"\/K4_electric_actuators\/index.php\">K Series 120V electric actuator<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The K Series is a reversing motor actuator with end of limit travel switches to stop the motor in either direction.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"\/literature\/K4_datasheet.pdf\">wiring diagram<\/a> can be found on our website or if needed on the inside of the actuator cover.<\/p>\n<p>Safety First: Make sure all power is off.<\/p>\n<p>To access the terminal strip remove the 4 screws from the cover.To open or drive the actuator in the counter clockwise direction, apply<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-7415\" src=\"\/news-and-training\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/K-Series-actuator-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/> power to terminal 1 and terminal 2. The actuator will turn counterclockwise until it reaches the internal limit switch and shuts off.<\/p>\n<p>To close or drive the actuator in the clockwise direction, apply power to terminal 1 and Terminal 3. The actuator will turn clockwise until it reaches the internal limit switch and shuts off.<\/p>\n<p>Dry contact limit switches are available for control room feedback. Apply common power to terminal 4. When the actuator reaches the full open position, switch contact is made and feedback is available on terminal 5. When the actuator reaches the full closed position, switch contact is made and feedback is available on terminal 6.<\/p>\n<p>To engage the manual override, disconnect power, remove the black override connection<\/p>\n<p>cap.
