How do I read the Odometer on the WM Series Residential Water Meter?

The number scale on the meter varies, depending on the size of the meter.

For Residential Meters Sized 1/2” to 1”

The right most rotating digit represents the tens of gallons that have traversed through the meter.  For example, if the last rotating digit is 4, that represents 40 gallons.

Example: If the rotating digits read 123456, and the fixed last digit reads 0, the gallons measured are 1,234,560.

The maximum registration for meters within this size range is 9,999,999 gallons.

Note: To convert gallons to cubic feet multiply the gallons reading by 0.1337 to get cubic feet (there are 7.48052 gallons per cubic foot).

For Residential Meters Sized 1-1/2” to 2”

1-1/2” to 2” WM Series Residential Water Meter Odometer

The right most rotating digit represents the hundreds of gallons that have traversed through the meter.  For example, if the last rotating digit is 4, that represents 400 gallons.

Example: If the rotating digits read 123456, and the fixed last two digits read 00, the gallons measured are 12,345,600.

The maximum registration for meters within this size range is  99,999,900 gallons.

The spinning arm cycles at the rate of one gallon per revolution.

A Trickle Leak Indicator is positions off center, left and bottom.
