Stem Extensions:
The length of a stem extension is measured from the top of the flange on the valve stem to the bottom of the actuator's direct mounting pad.

For manual valves, it is measured from the top of the flange on the valve stem to the bottom of the gearbox for hand wheels, or the latch plate for levers.

Most Stem extensions can be buried providing a silicone sealant is applied between the extension flange and the butterfly valve top mounting flange. Please check with us on a specific sizes.
